My love for photography all began with my dad’s old film camera. Seeing the world through that lens sparked something in me–fascination with how a single photograph can hold an entire story. I want your photos to show the joy, peace, and nostalgia of the day you’ve spent months preparing for.. Your day is full of moments that matter most, it should not feel rushed or stressful. That’s where I come in.
My goal is to create timeless photographs while allowing you to stay completely present with the people you love. I capture the quiet glances, the joyful tears, the bursts of laughter, and the unforgettable dance floor moments, so you can relive them for the rest of your life.

I want you to be able to be fully present
Because I want you to be fully present, this requires a level of organization from the very beginning of your experience with me. From the moment you reach out to me I always want you to feel taken care of and valued. In the planning process I make sure to gather your must-have shots and get a feel for the overall vibe of the day. By doing this I can guide you when needed, step back when the moment deserves space, and handle the details so you never have to worry about whether your photos are being taken care of.

Your wedding day is the beginning of you and yours becoming husband and wife and officially beginning your vocation to marriage. This is such a gift, and the fact that I get to witness a sacrament every weekend and give you the photos to relive the day is such an honor and blessing.
Using the artistic gifts God has given me to serve couples on such an important day is something I never take for granted. I’d be honored to document the beginning of your happily ever after.

my growing family
I’d be remiss to not mention my high school sweetheart and number one supporter, my husband Liam! He’s the model in a lot of my early film photos (sorry Liam) and truly the rock of my business.
my favorite food
Sushi is my absolute fave, I’ve ordered spicy tuna rolls for as long as I can remember. Add avocado, cream cheese, and jalapeño and you’ll have a very happy Sofie on your hands.

“If I Could Fly” by One Direction. Where are my Directioners at? If you want me jamming out on your dancefloor throw some 1D on the speakers!
my family is 100% hungarian
While my parents and I were born in the States, all 4 of my grandparents emmigrated from Hungary. I attribute my hard work ethic and strength to them and their courageous escapes!
i'm originally from virginia
While I’m currently based in Charleston, SC Virginia will always be home to me. I lived in the same house for 22 years, and I even got to have my wedding reception in the backyard! (Queue the nostalgia)
what I'm watching on a rainy day
I am a SUCKER for romcoms, cringey television, and all the things boys typically hate to watch. The Vampire Diaries, Gilmore Girls, H2O, Aquamarine, The Proposal, do you want me to keep going or do you want to just grab some popcorn and join me?
favorite day-off activity
Since living in Charleston, I love to go to the beach with my husband! We’ll order a pub sub, grab an iced coffee, and hit the sand. I actually hate sand but I’m a sucker for looking for sharks teeth and getting a good tan so it’s worth the uphill battle!
favorite church
Matyas Templom in Budapest, Hungary is by far my favorite Church. Ever since I was a little girl it has always made me in awe. Stateside I’d have to say Christ the King chapel in Front Royal, VA. In case you haven’t been able to tell I’m a biggg blue girl so it’s a natural favorite!
go-to prayer
“Jesus I surrender myself to your will, do with it what you will” I started praying the Surrender novena in college, but throughout the years it turned into this shortened prayer. This prayer kept my heart at peace during my most stressful times and prayed it all the time during my own wedding planning!
go-to drink
If I’m wanting a coffee I’ll order an iced vanilla latte with cold foam and some fun seasonal flavor. If I want something more refreshing I’ll either get a Pink drink or a dirty soda, coke and coconut is my current combo!
